Rachit is an experienced Intellectual Property Rights lawyer with a focused understanding of the nuances of both litigation and prosecution across the IP discipline. He has completed his B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University, and apart from being enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi, is also a member of the Delhi High Court Bar Association, the prestigious Intellectual Property Rights Attorneys Association, and the International Trademark Association.

His core IP practice spans the entire lifecycle of intellectual property rights — trademark and copyright prosecution, portfolio management, oppositions and cancellations before the Trade Marks Registry, enforcement actions, anti-counterfeiting strategy, and infringement and passing-off litigation before the Delhi High Court and other forums.

In recent years, Rachit has developed a specialized practice at the intersection of technology law, artificial intelligence, and intellectual property. He advises clients on the rapidly evolving legal questions surrounding AI — including ownership and protectability of AI-generated and AI-assisted works, copyright and licensing issues arising from the use of protected content in training datasets, liability and attribution concerns in generative AI outputs, and the structuring of IP clauses in AI development, deployment, and SaaS agreements. He regularly assists technology companies, startups, and platforms in aligning their AI products and content pipelines with Indian and international IP frameworks.

Rachit is also well versed in India’s data protection and technology regulatory landscape, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the rules framed thereunder, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the intermediary guidelines and allied regulations. He advises businesses on DPDP compliance — consent architecture, privacy notices and policies, data processing agreements, cross-border data transfer considerations, breach response protocols, and obligations of data fiduciaries and processors — as well as on platform liability, safe harbour, content takedown, and emerging regulatory issues affecting digital businesses.
